My cake smash sessions are designed to capture all the personality, curiosity and messy fun as your little one explores their very first birthday cake. From those tentative first touches to full-on giggles and frosting covered smiles, these sessions are all about creating beautiful, playful memories you’ll treasure forever.


When to book

Cake smash sessions are typically booked to celebrate your baby’s first birthday, with sessions taking place a few weeks before their special day if you’d like the images ready in time.

I recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred date, as availability is limited each month.

What to expect

Every cake smash session is relaxed, fun and completely led by your little one. There’s no pressure for them to “perform”, they’re free to explore, play and enjoy the experience at their own pace.

Sessions usually begin with some clean portraits before the cake is introduced, followed by the cake smash itself and, if included, a splash session to clean up afterwards.

I’ll guide you throughout the session so you always know what to do, making the whole experience easy, enjoyable and stress-free for both you and your baby.


Reassurance

I understand that every child is different, and not all babies dive straight into the cake, and that’s completely okay.

Whether they’re full of excitement or a little more cautious, I’ll gently adapt the session to suit their personality and individual needs.

The focus is always on creating a relaxed and positive experience, capturing genuine and natural moments as they unfold.
