Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

What to expect after our session?

A. After your session, I will carefully go through all of the images taken and select the very best to create your proof gallery. This gallery will include unedited images for you to browse through, allowing you to create a folder of your favourites.

From there, you will be able to choose the images included in your package. If you happen to fall in love with more (which many families do!), you will also have the option to purchase additional images if you wish. There is absolutely no pressure to upgrade — simply choose your favourites and leave the rest to me.

Once your selections have been made, each image is individually edited to give it a beautiful, polished finish while still keeping to my signature natural style.

Within approximately 10–14 working days, you will receive a link to your finished private online gallery where you can view, download, save and share all of your final images from the comfort of your own home.

How do i book a session?

A. Booking your session is simple. Get in touch via one of the options the 'contact us' page, we can have a chat and discuss which package option suits you best and any preferences you have for your session. Once we have confirmed details and set a date and time that works for you I will send over a booking link for you to complete the booking forms and secure your session with a £40 booking deposit. T&C's apply.

What should we wear for our session?

A. I always recommend keeping outfits simple and comfortable. Neutral tones and soft colours photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on your family rather than busy patterns/colours. Once your session is booked, I’m always happy to offer guidance if you’d like help choosing outfits.

How long will our session last?

A. Session times can vary depending on the type of session and how little ones are feeling on the day. I always allow plenty of time to keep things relaxed and unhurried, especially when working with babies and young children. Session times stated are guidelines and are flexible depending on how the session flows.

What if my baby or child is unsettled during the session?

A. Please don’t worry — this is completely normal! As a mum myself, I understand that little ones have their own schedules and moods. Sessions are always relaxed and patient, with plenty of time for cuddles, feeds or breaks if needed.

What if my baby won’t sleep during the session?

A. Please don’t worry if your baby doesn’t sleep — every baby is different and sessions are always led by them. I allow plenty of time so we can go at your baby’s pace, whether that means feeding, cuddling or simply taking a little break. Some beautiful images can be captured while babies are awake too, so there is never any pressure for them to sleep.

When is the best time to book a newborn session?

A. Newborn sessions are usually best within the first 2 weeks after your baby is born, as babies are often sleepier and easier to gently pose during this stage. I always recommend booking your newborn session while you are still pregnant to ensure availability, but I will always try my best to fit in last minute bookings where possible.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

A. For most sessions, you don’t need to bring very much at all other than what you would usually leave the house with. I have a selection of outfits, blankets, props and accessories available in the studio. For newborn sessions, it’s always helpful to bring extra milk or feeds, nappies and anything that helps settle your baby such as a dummy if they use one. For cake smash sessions I provide everything that is needed including the cake, outfits, props, and a towel if you have booked a tub.For all sessions you are more than welcome to bring along any extra outfits, props or accessories you would like to use throughout the session.

What if my child doesn’t cooperate during the session?

A. Little ones don’t need to sit perfectly still or smile on command to create beautiful images. Some of the most special moments come from natural interactions, cuddles and play. I keep sessions relaxed and fun so children can feel comfortable and be themselves without the pressure of sitting and smiling.

How far in advance should I book?

A. I always recommend booking your session as early as possible to avoid disappointment, as availability can be limited, especially during busy periods.

For newborn sessions, it’s best to book while you are still pregnant. Your session will be reserved around your due date, and once your baby arrives we will confirm the exact session date.

For baby, family or milestone sessions, booking a few weeks in advance is usually best to make sure you can secure a date that works well for you.
